About the role#
GE Vernova is seeking students for a Spring 2027 Nuclear Engineering Co-Op or Internship. This role offers hands-on experience in the power generation industry, focusing on advanced reactor technology, fuel, and services. You will work within a diverse team dedicated to decarbonizing the energy sector and providing carbon-free power.
What you'll do#
- Receive technical learning opportunities, mentorship, and coaching from experienced technical managers and technologists.
- Grow your technical expertise and expand your skills in new areas of the power generation industry.
- Work on assignments related to systems, analysis, design, reliability, digital integration, and testing.
- Perform design and analysis of product lines, develop models, conduct research, and solve complex problems.
- Collaborate with team members and other organizations to advance nuclear power generation goals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate engineering program, specifically in Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Material Science, Controls, Civil/Structural, Computer, or Computer Science engineering.
- Expected graduation date in May or December of 2028 or 2029.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to obtain authorization for access to information subject to U.S. Export Control Laws.
- Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
