About the role#
This summer internship offers a hands-on introduction to manufacturing and supply chain operations at our Greenville gas turbine site. You will contribute to a team that builds and repairs technology used for power generation globally. This is a full-time, on-site role running from May to August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Drive improvements in manufacturing processes to support quality, customer satisfaction, and material productivity.
- Evaluate production areas to identify and implement operational enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on quality-focused projects.
- Use Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve production workflows.
- Apply technical knowledge of safety standards, codes, and equipment procedures.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate engineering program, specifically in Industrial, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Chemical, Electrical, Material Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Unrestricted work authorization in the United States.
- Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- An analytical approach to problem-solving and a high degree of curiosity.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn from others.
Location & details#
- Location: Greenville, South Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, 1st shift.
- Compensation: $1,000 to $2,000 weekly.
