About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will develop and test embedded software for systems. You will apply engineering, computer science, and mathematical principles to support real-time control and system performance. This is a full-time, paid position located on-site in Salt Lake City.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engineering teams on requirements, design, integration, and hardware-software interfaces.
- Build, evaluate, and document software solutions for embedded and platform-based environments.
- Support all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, implementation, and testing.
- Develop software test procedures and related documentation.
- Utilize modeling tools and equipment to conduct experimental tests and establish operating data.
- Participate in peer reviews to identify, track, and repair defects.
- Work with a variety of programming languages and operating systems, including C++, C, Java, Python, and Linux.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Information Security.
- You have completed a Bachelor's degree within the last 12 months.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Work is performed on-site.
- The schedule follows a 9/80 format, where you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
