About the role#
We are looking for an Electrical or Computer Engineering student to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. This internship focuses on the evaluation and validation of next-generation Distribution Management System applications. You will work on-site to bridge the gap between software development and real-world grid operations.
What you'll do#
- Perform hands-on testing of new Distribution Management applications to assess functionality and integration.
- Design and build test cases to validate application performance and user requirements.
- Analyze software requirements for deployment using GitOps principles and ArgoCD.
- Identify, document, and track bugs through active stress testing.
- Translate complex software features into technical guides and training materials.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- A fundamental understanding of electric power distribution systems.
- Proficiency in Linux, including command-line navigation, shell scripting, and system troubleshooting.
- Proficiency or a strong interest in C#.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based in Bellevue, Washington.
- The term runs from May 2027 through August 2027.
- This position requires the candidate to be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
