About the role#
GE Vernova is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) intern to support site-based safety programs and compliance initiatives. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship based in La Prairie, Quebec.
What you'll do#
- Support the implementation of on-site health and safety programs.
- Draft procedures and conduct safety training sessions and workplace inspections.
- Assist in executing recommended corrective actions.
- Manage the inventory of hazardous materials by department and update safety data sheet binders.
- Develop audit grids for the use and storage of hazardous materials.
- Create and maintain a compliance calendar to track key deadlines and regulatory updates.
- Design workplace inspection grids and lead inspections alongside various departments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a relevant degree program, such as Environmental Engineering, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Bilingual proficiency.
