About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining experience with store, district, and regional operations. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly.
- Fulfill prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Demonstrate empathy and genuine care in all patient interactions.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences through personalized service.
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap featuring Key Learning Experiences.
- Follow company procedures at workstations including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Maintain focus and attention to detail while performing pharmacy tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong customer service orientation and a friendly, helpful approach to team collaboration.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks over extended periods.
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
