    About the role#

    The Patient Experience Intern acts as a welcoming, supportive presence for patients and families. You will help our team measure and improve care satisfaction by staffing the Family Resource Desk. This role operates within established program guidelines to provide non-medical support and gather feedback.

    What you'll do#

    • Staff the Family Resource Desk during peak hours to answer non-medical questions and offer encouragement to visiting families.
    • Provide pre-approved resource guides to families.
    • Use standardized talking scripts and FAQ materials to guide your interactions.
    • Administer anonymous patient-satisfaction and onboarding surveys.
    • Share observations with the team and suggest ideas to improve family engagement and resource navigation.

    What you'll need#

    • You are currently pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Pre-Med, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Strong interpersonal and active listening skills with a compassionate, professional demeanor.
    • Excellent communication skills and comfort following predefined guidelines and non-medical scope boundaries.
    • You are detail-oriented with an interest in healthcare quality improvement, patient advocacy, or health services administration.

    • Modality: On-site.
    • This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
