About the role#
The Pharmaceutical Distribution Intern supports the distribution of pharmaceuticals at our facility. This role provides hands-on experience in supply chain management and distribution operations. You will work on projects that impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our distribution activities.
What you'll do#
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
- Participate in cost improvement projects and implement strategies to optimize supply chain processes.
- Track critical supply inventory levels and monitor operational metrics.
- Gain exposure to inventory management at site, regional, and global levels.
- Work with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Transportation, and Safety departments.
- Analyze the movement of people, processes, and products to identify inefficiencies.
- Develop recommendations for workflow improvements.
- Use the Warehouse Management System to evaluate the impact of distribution activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment visa sponsorship.
