About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will bridge the gap between your pharmacy school education and real-world clinical practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining exposure to pharmacy operations while preparing for future responsibilities as a pharmacist. This position requires a commitment to patient safety, operational excellence, and team collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy teams in delivering on our brand promise and ensuring operations run smoothly.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Provide caring service and contribute to positive patient experiences.
- Offer counseling and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify details with prescribers.
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as cycle counts and processing medication deliveries.
- Educate patients about vaccines and monitor for adverse reactions where permissible.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies regarding patient privacy and safety.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or acceptance to an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in mathematical calculations for dispensing medication.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Attention to detail to confirm prescription information and label accuracy.
- Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
- 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service is preferred.
- Ability to become immunization certified is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is preferred.

- Pay range: $20.10 - $23.10 per hour.
