About the role#
GE Vernova is seeking a motivated and analytical intern to join the sourcing team in La Prairie. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in supply chain management while collaborating with industry experts to optimize procurement processes.
What you'll do#
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and monitor industry trends.
- Analyze data to update databases, track key performance indicators, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist in communicating with current suppliers and preparing RFI/RFP documentation.
- Participate in team projects aimed at simplifying and improving procurement processes.
- Provide administrative support for contract management and the preparation of internal presentations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in operations management, business administration, engineering, economics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with numerical data.
- Fluency in both French and English.
- A curious and meticulous approach to work.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is considered an asset.
- Ability to read technical drawings is considered an asset.
