About the role#
As a Reliability Engineer Co-Op within the METEM team, you will focus on the long-term health and performance of specialized assets used to build advanced gas turbines. You will work to minimize equipment downtime and optimize maintenance strategies for non-traditional machining technologies, including Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), Fast Hole Drilling (FHD), and Electrochemical Machining (ECM).
What you'll do#
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends in unplanned downtime and equipment degradation.
- Lead or participate in investigations into equipment failures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Help develop and refine Preventative Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability.
- Evaluate equipment criticality to prioritize maintenance activities and optimize spare parts inventory.
- Partner with Maintenance Technicians and Process Engineers to troubleshoot recurring mechanical, electrical, or chemical system issues.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Interest in equipment life-cycle management.
- Analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Basic understanding of mechanical components or electrical control systems.
