About the role#
GE Vernova is looking for interns to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. This position offers the chance to grow your technical skills while working on projects that have real-world implications for the energy sector. You will learn from industry leaders and gain hands-on experience with digital technologies.
What you'll do#
- Work on substantial projects with direct impact on power systems.
- Develop machine learning models, including deep neural networks and time series forecasting.
- Integrate power system concepts with AI and machine learning techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to build resilient energy systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or Physics.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) during the internship.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Foundational knowledge of power system concepts such as load forecasting, state estimation, and grid stability is preferred.
- Experience with intelligent agent frameworks, vector databases, and prompt engineering is a plus.

- This role is based in Bellevue, Washington.
- The internship is an on-site position.
- The term runs from May 2027 through August 2027.
