About the role#
GE Vernova is looking for interns to join the Grid Software Solutions team for the summer of 2027. This role focuses on the Services and Engineering functions, offering the chance to work on projects related to Wholesale Energy Markets. You will gain hands-on experience with digital technologies and collaborate with industry professionals on real-world grid operations.
What you'll do#
- Work on technical problems within Wholesale Energy Markets.
- Engage in software development processes.
- Participate in the optimization of large-scale grid operations.
- Apply technical skills to high-availability energy software platforms.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Environmental Engineering, or Business Administration.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) during the summer term.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Prior experience in software engineering, energy markets, or power systems is preferred.

- This is an on-site internship based in Bellevue, Washington.
- The term runs from May 2027 through August 2027.
- This is a paid internship position.
