About the role#
As a Software Test Engineer Intern, you will join our team to ensure the quality and performance of GridOS applications. You will work alongside experienced QA professionals and developers to gain hands-on experience in the software development lifecycle. This role involves testing software in a simulated environment and learning industry-standard tools within the energy software sector.
What you'll do#
- Execute manual and automated test cases to identify bugs and software defects.
- Assist in writing, maintaining, and updating test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
- Document, track, and verify software defects using internal issue-tracking tools.
- Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and daily stand-ups to understand requirements and contribute to quality goals.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining test environments and data sets.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or 4.0 on a 5.0 scale cumulative GPA.

- Modality: 100% on-site.
- Employment: Full-time paid internship.
