About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to develop software for our systems. You will work with cross-functional team members to evaluate hardware and software interfaces. This role involves supporting the full software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing of embedded software for tactical radio equipment.
What you'll do#
- Support all phases of the software development life cycle.
- Develop software test procedures, programs, and documentation.
- Use modeling tools to establish operating data and evaluate test results.
- Conduct peer reviews to identify, track, and repair software defects.
- Collaborate on the design and performance requirements of overall systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor, Master, or PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, Digital Arts & Sciences, or a related field.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle phases and peer review processes.
- Understanding of real-time operating systems.
- Experience with one or more of the following: C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, JEE, HTML5, XML, SQL, Qt, Windows.NET, Unix, Linux, SOA, RTOS, Real-Time Controls, Wireless, Software Security, Robotics, OOA/OOD, Hadoop, Android, or Embedded Systems.
Location & details#
- Location: Wilmington, Massachusetts.
- Schedule: 9/80 work schedule (80 hours over 9 days, with every other Friday off).
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $29.00 to $53.50 per hour.
