About the role#
DMA is hiring a Software Development Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship providing hands-on experience within a team of software developers. You will work on the analysis and transformation of business requirements into web-based solutions for our tax services.
What you'll do#
- Participate in code reviews and sprint planning sessions.
- Develop unit test cases for new features and bug fixes.
- Maintain and enhance existing software solutions.
- Diagnose and triage software issues while documenting the root cause.
- Develop and document potential solutions to technical problems.
- Prepare functional and technical documentation.
- Provide technical support as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Experience with an object-oriented programming language, such as C# or Java.
- Knowledge of relational databases.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, MVC concepts, and JDBC/SQL is a plus.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship.

- This is an on-site position based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, or Indianapolis, Indiana.
