About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will join our AI research and development team to work on real-world AI challenges. You will collaborate with AI researchers, machine learning engineers, and data scientists to design, develop, and implement advanced machine learning models. This 10-week, full-time internship is expected to run from June through August.
What you'll do#
- Support the end-to-end AI product development process, including data acquisition, preprocessing, model design, training, and deployment.
- Assist in all phases of the machine learning lifecycle.
- Design, develop, and train advanced machine learning models, including deep learning and large-scale models, to solve complex challenges.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and advanced feature engineering on large-scale, semi-structured datasets.
- Develop high-quality, production-ready code while participating in system design discussions, code reviews, and testing.
- Research and prototype new AI and machine learning methodologies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to refine project requirements and deliver technology solutions.
What you'll need#
- Minimum of 30 completed college-level credit hours by the start date, preferably in Computer Science or a related field.
- Must be a U.S. citizen residing in the U.S. and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Strong foundation in core computer science concepts, such as data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn.
- Demonstrated experience with large-scale datasets and data preprocessing.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
