About the role#
This internship is a 10-week, full-time program for the Summer 2027 term. You will join the ICF Next government communications team to assist with mission-driven strategic communications and marketing. The program includes rotations between multidisciplinary teams to help you gain project exposure and build business acumen.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and implementation of strategic communications plans and campaigns.
- Create marketing and communications materials including factsheets, infographics, social media content, reports, and presentations.
- Write and edit content for internal and external audiences.
- Draft press releases and talking points while monitoring media coverage.
- Assist with the planning and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels.
- Collaborate with team members on client strategy.
What you'll need#
- At least 60 college credit hours completed in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Work Authorization.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Motivation to learn new concepts and markets.
- Ability to produce quality work with attention to detail.
- Capability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Reston, Virginia.
- Modality: Hybrid (2 days per week in the office).
- Compensation: $23 per hour.
- Employment type: Full-time.
