About the role#
The Outsourced Tax Department Solutions Intern supports the team by assisting with indirect tax operations, data preparation, process documentation, and administrative project activities. This role provides hands-on exposure to outsourced tax operations and business processes while developing foundational skills in indirect tax, technology, and client service. You will work under the guidance of experienced team members to help ensure the timely and accurate delivery of services.
What you'll do#
- Assist with data gathering, organization, and validation for indirect tax processes and reporting.
- Support the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and other routine operational tasks.
- Document client processes, procedures, and workflow requirements.
- Maintain organized files, records, and audit-ready documentation.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives by providing feedback and supporting project-related activities.
- Conduct basic research and data analysis as assigned.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and service commitments.
- Attend training sessions to develop knowledge of indirect tax operations, outsourcing services, and DMA methodologies.
- Perform administrative and ad hoc assignments as directed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Communications, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, or Technical Writing.
- Previous internship, academic project work, or coursework related to business operations, accounting, tax, analytics, or technology.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn new systems, processes, and technologies quickly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

- Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
