About the role#
The IT Quality Assurance Intern will join our team to support the testing of software applications and technology solutions. You will gain hands-on experience with quality processes, defect tracking, and Agile development practices. You will work alongside QA engineers, developers, and business analysts to help ensure our software meets quality standards and business requirements.
What you'll do#
- Create, execute, and maintain test cases and test data for software applications.
- Perform manual testing of web-based and internal business applications.
- Document and report software defects and test results using tools like Jira.
- Participate in Functional, User Acceptance, and Regression testing.
- Support the team in validating bug fixes and software enhancements.
- Review business requirements and functional specifications to understand testing needs.
- Join Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Help maintain testing documentation and records.
- Learn and apply quality assurance methodologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve software issues.
- Contribute ideas for process improvements and testing efficiencies.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A basic understanding of software development and testing concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and testing techniques.
- Familiarity with web applications, databases, or programming concepts is preferred.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies is a plus.

- This position is based in Lisle, Illinois.
- This is an on-site, part-time internship for Winter 2027.
- This is a paid position.
