About the role#
Northrop Grumman is hiring a Software Engineering Intern for the Aeronautics Systems program in Melbourne, Florida. This paid, full-time summer internship provides exposure to engineering specializations and allows you to work alongside developers and customers.
What you'll do#
- Build, troubleshoot, calibrate, test, and maintain systems, devices, and components.
- Work based on engineering drawings and specific verbal or written instructions.
- Operate equipment and conduct tests, reporting your findings in a prescribed format.
- Perform alignment checks and make modifications or replacements as directed.
- Prepare necessary compounds and solutions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university, with a graduation date after August 2027.
- A major in a STEM field, such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher is preferred.
