About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term, running from January through April. You will join a team of engineers to build features for the Databricks platform. You will have a dedicated mentor and join our 2027 intern cohort to connect with engineers and leaders across the company. We are hiring for teams including backend, infrastructure, systems, tools, cloud, databases, and customer-facing products.
What you'll do#
- Build features that contribute directly to the Databricks platform.
- Manage your project end-to-end, including design, code, and feedback.
- Learn about building a platform that scales while maintaining quality and security.
What you'll need#
- You will graduate in fall 2027 or spring 2028 with a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Implementation skills with Python, Java, or C++.
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and OOP principles.
- Interest in solving ambiguous problems with a collaborative team.

- Locations: Bellevue, Washington; Mountain View, California; or San Francisco, California.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $51.50 to $60 USD per hour in Bellevue; $54 to $60 USD per hour in the SF Bay Area.
