About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Colorado Springs. You will work on-site to support the development of software for tactical radio equipment. The schedule follows a 9/80 format, meaning you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
What you'll do#
- Apply concepts from computer science, engineering, and mathematics to software development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design and evaluate system interfaces and performance requirements.
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements analysis to final testing.
- Develop software programs, test procedures, and technical documentation.
- Use modeling tools to conduct experimental tests and evaluate operating data.
- Participate in peer reviews and track software defects.
- Work with various languages including C++, C, Java, Python, SQL, and HTML5 across Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, or Digital Arts & Sciences.
- Experience with software languages such as C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, Perl, Python, Ajax, or Qt.

- Pay: $24.50 to $46.50 per hour
