About the role#
This is a full-time co-op position within the Western Region Production Engineering team. You will work on-site in Redondo Beach, California, from January through August 2027. This role is paid and requires a commitment of 40 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Perform a variety of duties in the chemistry laboratories.
- Design, execute, and report on experiments.
- Support internal and external customers with materials qualification, production troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
- Operate laboratory equipment and interpret results for project stakeholders.
- Recommend next steps and alternative testing for risk mitigation and remediation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university.
- A graduation date after August 2027.
- A major in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or a related field.
- Availability to work full-time from January to August 2027.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
