About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Fall 2026 semester, running from September through December. You will work in a team environment alongside full-time Manufacturing Engineers to implement processes for new and existing firearm product designs. The role focuses on CNC machining and the assembly of precision components using technical drawings and interchangeable parts. This position is on-site in Exeter, New Hampshire.
What you'll do#
- Implement manufacturing processes for new and existing product designs.
- Use project management techniques to procure tooling and equipment for new products to meet launch timelines and cost targets.
- Provide production floor support to maintain output and quality for technical systems, including CNC machining, assembly, and metal finishing.
- Originate and develop new systems and processes for full production.
- Resolve quality issues related to products and processes using statistical methods.
- Evaluate product designs for manufacturability while applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and dimensional stack-ups.
- Debug and runoff new capital equipment to meet plant goals for quality and throughput.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS or a similar CAD system.
- Working knowledge of materials and heat-treating processes.
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong analytical skills and foundational project management abilities.
- Ability to communicate complex technical subjects clearly in written and verbal formats.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
