This is a full-time, paid internship for the Fall 2026 semester (September through December). You will work within a team environment alongside full-time Manufacturing Engineers to support the production of precision firearm components. This position requires regular on-site attendance in Exeter, New Hampshire.
What you'll do#
- Implement manufacturing processes for new and existing product designs, including providing budgetary estimates for equipment and production rates.
- Utilize project management techniques to procure tooling and equipment to meet launch timelines and cost targets.
- Provide production floor support to maintain output and quality for technical systems, including CNC machining, assembly, metal finishing, and automation.
- Originate, develop, and implement new systems and processes into full production.
- Debug and runoff new capital equipment to meet plant goals for throughput and quality.
- Resolve product and process quality issues using statistical methods.
- Recommend and execute enhancements to improve manufacturing procedures and product quality.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS or a similar CAD system.
- Working knowledge of materials, heat-treating processes, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong analytical skills and a foundational understanding of project management.
- Ability to communicate complex technical subjects effectively in both written and verbal formats.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
