About the role#
MORSE Corp is looking for Data Scientist co-ops to help build analysis and application software for machine learning and artificial intelligence projects. You will work with a team of engineers and developers to solve problems for the US National Security Ecosystem. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling start date. You will work on-site in one of our offices.
What you'll do#
- Prepare, manage, and analyze AI data using Python.
- Perform data analysis tasks, such as tracking performance metrics and building simulation tools.
- Create data visualizations to share results and project outcomes.
- Assist with the development, execution, and testing of machine learning models.
- Build analysis and application software using Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and ship new features.
What you'll need#
- US Citizenship is required.
- You must be working toward a BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience with statistical analysis and building data visualizations.
- Good communication skills.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git is expected.
- Experience with libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, or numpy is a plus, as is exposure to tools like Spark or Docker.

- Compensation: $28 to $33 per hour.
