About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Fall 2026 semester, running from September through December. You will work within a team environment alongside R&D designers, test technicians, and engineers to support the design and development of firearm components and accessories.
What you'll do#
- Create CAD design models using SolidWorks and incorporate changes to existing designs.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings and process design change orders.
- Support the performance of tests and experiments, including data analysis and the creation of detailed test reports.
- Assist in the manufacture and inventory management of prototype parts and products.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects, maintain 5S standards, and adhere to all ISO procedures and security mandates.
- Follow safe firearm handling and range safety procedures at all times.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in creating parametric solid models and engineering drawings using CAD software, with SolidWorks experience highly preferred.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and report creation.
- Preferred: Advanced coursework in thermodynamics, fluids, materials, or mechanisms, and prior experience with design projects or internships.
- Preferred: Experience using and maintaining firearms or related products.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform tasks requiring bending, reaching, and sitting for prolonged periods.
