About the role#
This is a part-time internship within the Vehicle Engineering group at Northrop Grumman. You will support the development of manned and unmanned aircraft platforms for the Aeronautics Systems Sector. This role requires on-site work in either Redondo Beach or El Segundo, California.
What you'll do#
- Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, and systems.
- Work from engineering drawings and both written and verbal instructions.
- Conduct tests and report data in a prescribed format.
- Perform calibration and alignment checks, making adjustments or replacements as directed.
- Analyze, research, and develop structural engineering analysis packages for metals, non-metallic, or composite materials.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, with a graduation date after December 2026.
- A major in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or Environmental Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- An overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
- Availability to work 20 hours per week during the Fall 2026 and Winter 2026 terms.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
