About the role#
This is a part-time student staff position based in Phoenix, Arizona. You will work under the supervision of an area director or mentor to develop your ministry skills while supporting the local Young Life community. This role involves a mix of direct ministry, leadership development, and administrative tasks.
What you'll do#
- Create a yearly personal growth plan to foster your spiritual life.
- Engage in contact work, club, and Campaigners.
- Recruit and train new leaders to build a strong team.
- Meet regularly with volunteer leaders and area leadership.
- Raise financial support and maintain consistent communication with donor partners.
- Implement strategies for summer and school-season camping.
- Assist with office administration and complete expense reports.
- Participate in the spiritual life of the Young Life community and lead others in their development.
- Follow all Young Life policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a college degree.
- Proven ability to build relationships with both kids and adults.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- You must profess a belief in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord.
- You must subscribe to the statements and policies required of all Young Life staff, including the Statement of Faith.
