About the role#
Internships at Lakeview Center are work-based learning opportunities. You will apply theory from your academic coursework to practical, real-world settings. These positions are intended for students nearing the end of their preparatory academic programs. Please note that placements depend on supervisory capacity and are not guaranteed.
What you'll do#
- Participate in all structured activities assigned by your supervisor.
- Complete and submit all required documentation on time.
- Communicate regularly with your supervisor regarding your progress or any concerns.
- Follow all policies, procedures, and safety rules of Lakeview Center.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Adhere to professional dress and behavior guidelines.
- Demonstrate punctuality, respect, honesty, and a willingness to learn.
- Remain at your assigned placement for the full duration of the internship.
- Evaluate and share feedback about your experience.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a public or accredited private academic institution.
- Status at or near the end of a preparatory academic program.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions and ask questions for clarification.
- Demonstrated competencies relevant to the internship program.
- Reliable transportation to and from the internship site.
