About the role#
This Level I internship is an observation-based learning experience. It provides introductory exposure to behavioral health services, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional workplace practices in a healthcare setting. You will gain insight into behavioral healthcare operations while developing professional communication and ethical awareness.
What you'll do#
- Complete, sign, and submit all documentation as directed by your supervisor by the requested deadline.
- Evaluate and share information about your internship experience.
- Meet the established criteria of your internship placement.
- Comply with all training requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality guidelines.
- Participate in all approved activities structured by your supervisor.
- Communicate with your supervisor throughout the experience.
- Follow the policies and procedures of Lakeview Center, Inc.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program such as Psychology, Sociology, Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Criminal Justice, or Human Resources.
- A willingness to learn and demonstrate honesty, punctuality, respect, courtesy, and a cooperative attitude.
- Adherence to dress and behavior guidelines.
- Reliable transportation to and from the internship site.
- Ability to pass a Level II background screening.
