About the role#
This Level I internship is an observation-based learning experience designed to provide introductory exposure to behavioral health services, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional workplace practices. Interns gain insight into healthcare operations while developing professional communication, ethical awareness, and workplace readiness skills through shadowing and supervised participation in approved activities.
What you'll do#
- Complete, sign, and submit all documentation as directed by the internship supervisor by the requested deadline.
- Participate in all approved activities structured by the internship supervisor.
- Communicate with the internship supervisor throughout the internship, especially if concerns arise.
- Evaluate and share information about the internship experience.
- Comply with all training requirements and organizational policies and procedures.
- Meet established criteria of the internship placement, including maintaining passing grades and attendance records.
- Maintain confidentiality guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an educational program such as Psychology, Sociology, Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Criminal Justice, or Human Resources.
- Demonstrate honesty, punctuality, respect, courtesy, a cooperative attitude, and a willingness to learn.
- Adhere to professional dress and behavior guidelines.
- Reliable transportation to and from the internship site.
- Ability to pass a Level II background screening.
