About the role#
This Level I internship offers nursing students an observation-based learning experience. You will gain introductory exposure to behavioral health services, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional workplace practices. The role focuses on shadowing and supervised participation in approved activities to build your understanding of healthcare operations, professional communication, and ethical awareness.
What you'll do#
- Participate in all approved activities structured by your supervisor.
- Complete, sign, and submit required documentation on time.
- Communicate regularly with your internship supervisor regarding your experience.
- Evaluate and share feedback about your time in the program.
- Follow all policies, procedures, and training requirements of Lakeview Center, Inc.
- Maintain confidentiality and abide by all safety rules.
- Observe business etiquette and cooperate with your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at Okaloosa Technical College.
- Passing grades plus good attendance and discipline records.
- Ability to meet the established criteria for the internship placement.
- Reliable transportation to and from the internship site.
