About the role#
Young Life Military offers a long-term internship for those who want to serve and grow in their walk with Christ. You will work alongside an experienced staff member at a military installation. This role focuses on incarnational ministry, which means you will spend time in the world of military teens to build friendships and model a life of faith. You will oversee the Club Beyond program, which is an outreach-oriented ministry for middle and high school students.
What you'll do#
- Meet weekly with your supervisor to review ministry goals and team agendas.
- Lead and conduct club meetings and small group sessions for teens.
- Create a 90-day personal growth plan to support your spiritual life.
- Attend Chapel on the installation and participate in volunteer leader meetings.
- Recruit and train new leaders while building a team that reflects the community.
- Meet weekly with a volunteer to support their development.
- Assist with community outreach efforts aimed at unchurched teens.
- Manage financial support tasks, including communicating monthly updates to your donor partners.
What you'll need#
- You must have graduated high school at least two years ago.
- A deep love for Christ and for teens.
- A teachable heart and a willingness to learn.
- Strong initiative and the ability to communicate clearly.
- Experience or skill in planning small events.
- A commitment to a relational approach to ministry.
- You must be willing to raise a portion of your budget through personal support.
- An energetic approach to daily work.
