About the role#
WoodmenLife is seeking a Quality Assurance Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This role supports the Business Technology division by assisting with administrative functions and project initiatives. You will gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry while working within an Agile team environment.
What you'll do#
- Serve as a Systems Test Engineer on the Agile intern team.
- Create detailed test cases based on business and technical requirements.
- Perform functional, functional integration, and regression testing.
- Write and execute automated test scripts to explore test automation concepts.
- Collaborate with business units and development teams to support testing activities and manage test data.
- Assist in preparing reports and dashboards to communicate testing outcomes.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and stand-ups.
- Attend weekly meetings with the internship cohort and company leadership.
- Summarize and present a capstone presentation regarding your project accomplishments and skill development.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a rising sophomore, junior, or senior in college.
- Major in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.5.
- Ability to work 38.75 hours per week.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- A growth mindset, adaptability, and the ability to generate creative ideas.
- A commitment to providing trustworthy and attentive service.
