About the role#
As a Data & Technology Summer Associate, you will join a team that uses data, analytics, and technology to drive business outcomes. You will gain hands-on experience through meaningful projects, coaching, and mentorship. This program offers a look into how data and technology support a global investment management firm. High-performing interns may be considered for the full-time Data & Technology Track of the Capital Group Rotational Program upon graduation.
What you'll do#
- Analyze complex datasets and build reports or visualizations.
- Support digital product or data initiatives.
- Evaluate business requirements to develop data-driven solutions.
- Participate in professional development and networking opportunities.
- Work within specialized functions such as Data & Analytics, Data Science, Digital Products & User Experience, or Data Strategy & Solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or 3.75/5.0.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- A degree in a quantitative, analytical, or technical field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or Computer Engineering.
- Foundational programming experience in Python, SQL, R, Spark, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with data visualization, reporting, or business intelligence tools.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate ideas clearly.
- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to navigate ambiguity.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship at an hourly rate of $35.50.
