About the role#
This paid, 10-week summer internship offers hands-on experience within the Commercial Centralized Credit Group or the Commercial & Industrial Lending team. You will work alongside industry professionals to contribute to real business initiatives while building your professional network. The program includes mentorship, project work, and exposure to senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Provide underwriting support for loan renewals, modifications, extensions, and new money requests.
- Analyze company financial statements and evaluate industry and business risks.
- Learn the loan operations, approvals, and documentation process.
- Spread financial statements and apply Bank Credit Policy.
- Gain practical exposure to commercial loan products and understand borrowing needs.
- Support and present on projects, research, or operational activities.
- Participate in volunteer initiatives, employee resource groups, and social events.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least one full year of college by May 2027.
- Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Location & details#
- Locations: Berwyn, PA; Wilmington, DE; or Cherry Hill, NJ.
- Modality: Full-time, on-site (up to 5 days per week).
- Schedule: Summer 2027 (June through mid-August).
- Requirements: Reliable transportation, availability for in-person and virtual interviews, and ability to attend an in-person orientation.
- Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
