About the role#
As a Data & Technology Summer Associate, you will gain hands-on experience by supporting teams that use data, analytics, and technology to drive business outcomes. You will work alongside professionals across the firm to strengthen your technical and analytical skills while gaining insight into how data supports a global investment management organization. This program provides exposure to business areas within the Data & Technology Track of the Capital Group Rotational Program. High-performing associates may be considered for conversion into this full-time program upon graduation.
What you'll do#
- Analyze complex datasets and build reports or visualizations.
- Support digital product or data initiatives.
- Evaluate business requirements to develop data-driven solutions.
- Participate in professional development and networking opportunities.
- Contribute to specific functions such as data science, data strategy, or digital user experience.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0, 3.75/5.0, or equivalent.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
- A degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or Finance is preferred.
- Foundational programming experience in languages like Python, SQL, R, or Spark.
- Familiarity with data visualization, reporting, or business intelligence tools.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to collaborate across teams.
