About the role#
As a Business & Operations Summer Associate, you will gain hands-on experience supporting teams that power Capital Group. You will work on meaningful projects, receive coaching, and collaborate with professionals across the firm. This program provides exposure to how a global investment management organization operates. High-performing interns may be considered for the full-time Business & Operations Track, a two-year rotational program, upon graduation.
What you'll do#
You will be placed on a specific team for the duration of the summer. Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting trade processing, data management, reporting, and operational controls.
- Partnering with investment teams through project management, business analysis, and process improvement.
- Contributing to functions such as Finance, HR, Legal & Compliance, Procurement, and Communications.
- Analyzing data and business challenges to develop recommendations.
- Identifying opportunities to improve business processes.
- Collaborating across functions to support strategic initiatives.
- Participating in professional development and networking opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0, 3.75/5.0, or equivalent.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and learning agility.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Attention to detail, organization, and a focus on high-quality execution.
- Initiative, accountability, and a willingness to take ownership.
- Comfort working with data and quantitative information.
