About the role#
Altbanq is an alternative finance provider focused on funding businesses. This internship offers exposure to private credit, lending, payments, and business development. You will work within a flat organizational structure that values independent project completion and team collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Work with the team and the COO to carry out strategic initiatives.
- Conduct online research to support operational and strategic planning.
- Review financial documents for the underwriting of potential funding deals.
- Compile capital account statements for investors.
- Complete various ad hoc tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student in Finance, Economics, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.5 and a strong extracurricular record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good quantitative ability.
- Commitment to a long-term role of at least 12 months.
- Ability to work on-site for at least 20 hours per week.
- Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
- Critical thinking, logical reasoning, and a creative approach to problem-solving.
- High level of professionalism, discipline, and punctuality.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in New York, New York.
- The position is paid at a rate of $16.50 to $25.00 per hour.
