About the role#
The Digital Manufacturing Intern supports software solutions for manufacturing initiatives and shop floor modernization. You will work with engineers, business stakeholders, and plant operations to deliver software enhancements for Manufacturing Execution Systems, build analytics dashboards, and manage data flows across enterprise systems.
What you'll do#
- Develop and test new application features, components, and bug fixes using C# and .NET.
- Create, edit, and optimize Power BI reports and data models to improve visibility and support data-driven decisions.
- Partner with manufacturing end-users to refine requirements, support user acceptance testing, and configure digital screens on the shop floor.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to manipulate, validate, and retrieve data from relational database systems.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, while following quality coding standards.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Coursework or project experience in an object-oriented programming language. Knowledge of C# or .NET is preferred, though Java or C++ is acceptable if you have the aptitude to learn C#.
- Fundamental understanding of relational databases and experience writing SQL queries.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Technical curiosity and the ability to learn new business domains and manufacturing tools.
