    About the role#

    The Advanced Manufacturing Engineering group focuses on the development, improvement, and support of manufacturing processes for Allegion brands. As an intern, you will contribute to projects that aim to make manufacturing safer, higher quality, faster, and more cost-effective. You will gain hands-on experience by working directly with our engineering teams on real-world production challenges.

    What you'll do#

    • Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives.
    • Develop, trial, validate, and document new and existing manufacturing activities.
    • Assist in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing methods and procedures to reduce waste.
    • Support the design and review of automation opportunities.
    • Work with AI, predictive and prescriptive models, and data collection tools.
    • Assist with fleet and pathway optimization, including AGV and AMR delivery automation.
    • Support TPM and maintenance tools including preventive and predictive systems.
    • Focus on the development and standardization of new and existing technologies.

    What you'll need#

    • Preferred completion of at least your 2nd year of study.
    • Enrollment in Engineering or Technology degree programs is preferred.
    • A commitment to safety, a curious mindset, and a willingness to learn.
    • A focus on excellence and doing the right thing.
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
