About the role#
As an AI Engineer Intern, you will join the Data and AI team at WoodmenLife. You will work alongside experienced engineers to design, develop, and test AI solutions using the Azure AI ecosystem. This role is designed for students or early-career technologists looking for hands-on experience with production systems.
What you'll do#
- Participate in daily stand-ups and coordinate project priorities with your team.
- Partner with senior AI Engineers to build agentic and automation solutions.
- Assist in testing and validating technologies before they reach production.
- Write documentation and contribute to the team internal knowledge base.
- Work with business stakeholders to identify processes that could benefit from automation.
What you'll need#
- An interest in AI, Machine Learning, Custom CoPilots, and unstructured data.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business partners.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn.
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Data Science.

- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based in Omaha, Nebraska, with a hybrid work modality.
