About the role#
Wellabe is hiring an intern for our Data and Analytics team. This is a 10-week paid, full-time summer internship running from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027. You will work on projects that supplement your classroom learning and gain professional experience through mentorship, learning sessions, and team collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Build and evaluate machine learning and deep learning models for business problems.
- Assist the team in moving models from the experimentation phase into production.
- Use generative AI and large language models to improve machine learning workflows.
- Analyze and visualize business data to provide insights for decision-making.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python or R.
- A solid understanding of statistics and core machine learning concepts.
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain technical work to non-technical audiences.
- Curiosity and a desire to learn.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Interest in developing and deploying models to production.
- Bonus points for experience with Databricks, cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP, and MLOps practices.
