About the role#
This internship provides experience in data engineering, AI, and analytics at our corporate headquarters. You will work within a team environment, supported by experienced engineers and project leaders to deliver production-quality application features.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, test, and enhance internal applications using React, Node.js, and Python.
- Use approved AI coding assistants to accelerate code generation, debugging, documentation, testing, and refactoring.
- Develop and consume REST APIs and integrate applications with enterprise data platforms.
- Contribute to automated testing, code quality checks, and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in pull requests, code reviews, and controlled application deployments.
- Engage in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements refinement, technical design, and sprint activities.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Exposure to JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, or Python through academics, projects, or previous internships.
- An understanding of basic web application architecture.
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, APIs, automated testing, CI/CD, cloud development, or DevOps concepts.
- Experience or interest in generative AI tools like GitHub Copilot and prompt-driven development.
- Experience with GitHub Actions is preferred.

- Location: Houston, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027 (mid-May through early August).
- Modality: Hybrid, with four days per week in the office.
- Employment type: Full-time.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
