About the role#
This internship blends machine learning research with applied software engineering. You will focus on trust and safety in large language models. Key areas include prompt injections, safety alignment, guardrails, privacy, and interpretability. We are open to exploring other research topics that align with your specific interests.
What you'll do#
- Execute research experiments.
- Investigate safety alignment and model guardrails.
- Study prompt injection techniques and privacy protections.
- Work on model interpretability.
- Combine research findings with practical software implementation.
What you'll need#
- You are a PhD student or a student at any level with research experience and peer-reviewed published work.
- You can pose research questions, find answers in literature, and plan experiments.
- You read and write research papers and technical articles effectively.
- You have experience with PyTorch, HuggingFace, Transformers, and datasets.
- You have applied deep learning and LLM experience, including training and evaluating deep models.
- You are proficient in Python.
- You are comfortable with Unix, Git, Jupyter, and basic cloud usage on AWS or GCP.
- You must be authorized to work in the USA or be able to obtain CPT approval from your university.
