About the role#
The IT Intern for Solutions Architecture - AI supports ongoing architecture projects through research, solution design, and hands-on programming. You will work in a hybrid cloud environment to develop and improve solutions that use artificial intelligence to meet business goals. This role involves collaborating with technical teammates and business partners to evaluate opportunities, build prototypes, and apply AI capabilities within the enterprise. You will work under the guidance of a mentor and department leader to complete project tasks.
What you'll do#
- Participate in ongoing projects and provide value to your assigned area.
- Prepare, code, debug, and test programs within a hybrid cloud environment.
- Create and maintain system diagrams and technology roadmaps.
- Assist with the discovery of critical business issues and requirements for internal and external customers.
- Ensure applications are compliant and technically resilient.
- Analyze current, legacy, and future workloads to implement optimizations.
- Conduct research and development on new technology concepts and provide recommendations.
- Document code changes and assist users with procedure development.
- Analyze and demonstrate system solutions.
- Collaborate with peers across departments on cross-functional projects.
What you'll need#
- Active pursuit of an Associate or Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Knowledge of software development principles, practices, and methods.
- Familiarity with programming languages and public cloud environments.
- Understanding of fundamental architectures and patterns for generative AI solutions on AWS.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to problem-solve in a timely manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external partners.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to learn quickly and adapt to change or unexpected events.

- This is an on-site, full-time internship.
