About the role#
The Accounting Intern works with the Accounting Team to support daily, monthly, and quarterly accounting activities. You will gain hands-on experience in a professional environment while contributing to work that aligns with your field of study. This is a 12-week program where you will receive guidance from a mentor and department leader.
What you'll do#
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of management and external reporting materials.
- Complete project and support tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns, research differences, and summarize findings.
- Mathematical and accounting skills with high attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to speak in small group settings.
