About the role#
The SAP Security Intern will help administer SAP security, manage user access, and support governance and compliance activities. You will maintain secure SAP solutions across on-premise and cloud-based platforms while partnering with business and technical teams to ensure appropriate access controls and operational standards. This position is part of the Launchpad Internship Program, which provides project work, mentorship, and professional development over a 10 to 12 week period.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and support SAP security roles, profiles, authorizations, and access controls in SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Administer user access requests, role assignments, and security changes based on company policies.
- Support SAP Fiori security administration, including business roles, catalogs, spaces, pages, groups, and tile security.
- Assist with SAP HANA database security, including user administration, privilege management, auditing, encryption, and monitoring.
- Support SAP Governance, Risk and Compliance activities, including Access Request Management and User Access Reviews.
- Perform Segregation of Duties analysis and assist with remediation efforts to reduce security risks.
- Complete project and support tasks with guidance from a mentor and department leader.
- Collaborate with fellow interns on a strategic, cross-functional initiative.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with SAP modules such as FI, SD, or MM through coursework or projects.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze system issues, propose solutions, and implement improvements.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions effectively.
