About the role#
As a Workers Compensation Claims Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry. You will handle low severity injury claims and support the claims department through daily administrative and analytical tasks. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Review and analyze low severity injury claims.
- Research and verify insurance coverage.
- Review and document medical records related to workers compensation losses.
- Monitor file activity using a diary system.
- Process written and phone inquiries.
- Ensure proper reserving for claims.
- Maintain high standards of customer service.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or an insurance-related field.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn various computer programs.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
