About the role#
The HR Support Intern assists the recruiting and hiring team throughout the interview process. This role provides hands-on experience for individuals interested in human resources, people operations, and business administration. You will help coordinate schedules, manage documentation, and support the overall candidate experience.
What you'll do#
- Schedule and confirm interviews with candidates and hiring team members.
- Prepare interview materials and organize questions or role-specific information.
- Communicate interview details, expectations, and follow-up information to applicants.
- Greet candidates and assist with virtual interview check-ins.
- Take organized notes during interviews while maintaining confidentiality.
- Update applicant tracking records, interview statuses, and candidate documentation.
- Draft post-interview communications and track next steps.
- Provide hiring recommendations and suggest improvements to the interview workflow.
- Offer general administrative support to the recruiting team.
What you'll need#
- Current student, recent graduate, or individual pursuing experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional, courteous demeanor when interacting with candidates and team members.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Dependable and punctual, with the ability to follow instructions while working independently.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Interest in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, or employee support processes.
- Prior office, customer service, administrative, or volunteer experience is preferred.
- Ability to ask thoughtful questions, receive feedback, and adapt to changing priorities.
